After studying flute at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Torino, the Yale School of Music, and SUNYStony Brook, Enrico Sartori trained at the Academy of the Teatro alla Scala under Riccardo Muti. Sartori entered the profession in Europe performing as a principal flute with the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony, the Lyon Opera and Turin’s Philharmonic Orchestra.
Playing in orchestras and working alongside many conductors led Mr. Sartori to discover his passion for conducting, which he pursued at the International Academy Claudio Abbado in Milan.
In 2009, Enrico Sartori formed the ensemble Musica d’Insieme in Long Island (USA) and he commissioned several new works for his ensemble.
Maestro Sartori has since conducted several orchestras around the world, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Moldova (Moldova), the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra (Italy), the Pleven Philharmonic (Bulgaria), the Hudson Symphony Orchestra (USA), the Kaliningrad Philharmonic Orchestra (Russia), the Xi’an Choir and Symphony Orchestra (China), and the Changchun Theatre Orchestra (China). He also conducted several New Year Tours in all the major Chinese cities with the Global Festival Symphony Orchestra (2020-2021), the International Premier Philharmonic Orchestra (2021 - 2022), and the Forbidden City Symphony Orchestra (2022 - 2023).
Education has been as much a passion for Sartori as his other musical pursuits. Since 2017, Enrico Sartori has been on the faculty at the Conservatory of Music at Northeast Normal University (China). He is the founder and main conductor of the Baroque Youth Orchestra in Changchun, which has won several first prizes at both the provincial and national levels. In 2024, Mastro Sartori organized a European tour for the Youth Orchestra with many concerts in Rome and at the iconic Musikverein Hall in Vienna (Austria). More
