Viacheslav Tkach

ABOUT

Viacheslav Tkach is a pianist, composer, and sound designer.


He grew up in Odessa (Ukraine), where he started his musical career. In 1996 he started his first musical education in music school named after Stoliarsky. During his studying process he had a lot of concerts, participated in many international competitions, and won prizes in a lot of them (First Prize in "Art of XXI Century" piano competition, Kyiv, Ukraine, 2002, Gran Prix in EuropeAsia piano competition, Russia, etc.).


After finishing school he continued his education at the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow in Vladimir Tropp's class. After a 5-year course, he started to study composition in the same Academy in Vladimir Chernov's class. While at the Academy he became a laureate of many international competitions as a pianist and as a composer.


In 2011 he took part in a Schubert's Piano Competition in Dortmund (Germany) and won a semifinalist prize. In 2020 he won the Gran Prix in the international composer's competition "GRAND MUSIC ART" in Moscow. In 2022 he got an Honorable mention at "The Tampa Bay Composers Competition" (USA) for the Final of his Ukrainian Symphony.


Viacheslav Tkach is the author of more than 10 pieces for orchestra (Three Images for Orchestra, Sinfonietta, "Three Ballet Scenes based on the Ancient Greek myth of Medea"). Also, he composed a lot of chamber music, especially pieces for piano solos ("8 piano pieces", "Five

sketches for piano solo"). More
