Jason Carrine

ABOUT

Jason Carrine, a lyric tenor, embarked on his musical journey as a self-trained singer before being introduced by mutual friends, leading him to the talented Metropolitan Opera singer, Lucybell Anderson.

Under the guidance of Miss Anderson, Jason delved into formal musical training, dedicating nearly a year to honing his craft. Together, they graced stages across Connecticut, captivating audiences with full-length operas.

Following Miss Anderson's departure, Jason's journey continued under Juilliard School's under one of the finest vocal teachers, Barbara Lowin. Privately mentored by Lowin, Jason expanded his repertoire and honed his skills, taking on challenging opera roles and gracing prestigious stages.

Amidst his musical pursuits, Jason faced a formidable battle with kidney cancer. Despite undergoing two major surgical procedures, his resilience prevailed, allowing him to reclaim his passion for opera. He triumphantly returned to the stage, including a memorable performance alongside Metropolitan Opera baritone Brian Montgomery at Opera America on Broadway.

Today, Jason finds himself adding his voice to the chorus of the Regina Opera in Brooklyn, New York, while eagerly anticipating his new chapter with Price Attractions. His journey is a testament to perseverance, resilience, and the transformative power of music. More
